We recommend the optional SB-03 so you can easily turn off the Radar sensor before heavy rainstorms.
Green areas show the maximum size in meters of the Outer field on a full-sized sedan.
NORMAL MODE: After the Outer field triggers Warning Chirps, the Inner field will only trigger the full 30s Alarm Blast if tripped within 7 seconds.
STEP MODE: Cutting the red loop wire forces the sensor require 2 triggers on the Outer field before the Inner field can trigger. The 7 second timer mentioned in Normal Mode still applies.
Important Considerations
Radar (or "field disturbance") sensors add an important layer of security that can detect people moving near your car even before they touch it. This is especially important on convertibles, where the physical body of the car is open. Radar sensors are useful to prevent "keying" vandalism because the siren will produce warning chirps as the vandal approaches the car. It is important to note, however, that radar sensors aren't perfect. Hard rain or sudden changes in temperature or humidity can cause them to false trigger.

No problem!
IMPORTANT — PLEASE READ
When adding more than one sensor to any VISION or SCIBORG car security system, please purchase SB-03 sensor splitter.
As you may expect, this radar sensor (or any other sensor) does not "guarantee" complete protection against theft or vandalism.
Multiplex means that this sensor's output signals are 2 different pulse lengths (>950ms triggers the Alarm Blast, <400ms triggers Warning Chirps). Multiplex allows you to connect the 2 output wires together for compatibility with 3rd party car alarms that have only 1 sensor trigger input.
Cars with aftermarket film applied to the glass, and even glass that came with special coatings from the factory, can sometimes limit the range of radar sensors. Determine if your car has this kind of glass before you purchase a radar sensor; otherwise, sensor performance may not be what you expect.
You cannot add more than 1 radar sensor to the same car. Interference from multiple sensors causes false triggering.
Care must be taken when using the MMF-2 Radar Sensor together with a shock sensor. To avoid interference, we recommend mounting the two sensors as far apart as possible -- a distance of no less than 30cm (1ft.).
